Mamma Mia

I paid $5.75 to go to the movie Mamma Mia today. To some of you that is cheap, but we are so fortunate in our little town to have a theater. The tickets are $1.00. I don’t know when the theater was originally built, but it was restored a couple years ago.

Enjoyed Mamma Mia. Great great music, of course. We had an Abba album and listened to it a lot. I don’t know if I want to get an Abba cd now or maybe the Broadway cast cd. Just a couple songs didn’t sound familiar, I don’t know if there was any new music for the movie or whether I’m just forgetting some Abba. (It’s been on Broadway, right?) I wouldn’t want the movie cd because I’d have to listen to Pierce Brosnan sing. I liked Pierce Brosnan in Remington Steele and as James Bond. And Mrs. Doubtfire and everything else I’ve seen him in. And he looks as good as ever, but personally I thought his singing was a bit distractingly bad. Fortunately, he didn’t sing overly much. Meryl Streep can do anything and always looks beautiful doing it.

I will definitely pay $1.00 to see the movie again once it comes to town.

Mary Ann, I went to see Mamma Mia last week and I loved it. Pierce Brosnan kind of had that raspy Kenny Rogers thing going on, didn’t he? Meryl Streep continues to amaze me with her talent. And didn’t she bring down the house with the Winner Takes All song?

Saw the movie this weekend… I think we where the only people singing along. I totally agree – I cringed anytime Pierce sang… we where trying to think of another actor to take his place, Harrison Ford….Mel Gibson….
(Pierce could have kept his shirt on also…. Hairy man that he is)
