Back in Business

Pictures again! I didn’t find the connector that goes from the camera to the back of the computer. Instead I went to Target today after work. I thought, I know this is foolish, but maybe there are really reasonably priced digital cameras. I could get one and then WHEN I find the thingie for my camera, I’ll gift the newer camera to someone. I found itty bitty Disney cameras for $19.99. They’re adorable. They hold 40 photos and I THINK they do what a regular camera does, they just don’t hold a lot of photos and you can’t change the focus.

I called Suzanne while I was in Target because after finding the cute cameras I found pinatas. I’m not going to tell you what the pinata is for yet. You’ll find out either on my blog or Suzanne’s. Whilst talking to Suzanne, I mentioned the camera and she said Oh, I keep forgetting to ask you why you just don’t take out the card from your camera and load it into the little slot on the front of the computer. THIS is why I could not manage my life without my children. So I put the cute itty bitty camera back on the shelf and when I got home I took a couple photos and just look!!! It worked.

It was great fun to carry the pinata through Target. I heard two small children talking about it. One told his mom that he wanted a horsie. I don’t think she saw the pinata, so she must have wondered what inspired that request. But several people looked at the pinata and smiled, a lady in the parking lot asked me if I was going to fill it with candy.

I heard recently about a lady who got a pinata for her child’s birthday. The children of course did what you do with a pinata, they beat the thing with a stick and it broke. They were most disappointed when there was no candy. The lady didn’t know that they didn’t come pre-filled with candy. I’m glad I read about that because to be honest I might have also assumed that there was candy in the thing. Although this one does come with a little tag that talks about filling it with candy.

You might notice in the photo that in the background there is a For Sale sign on my front lawn. It’s been there for about a month. The house has been viewed exactly once, the day after the sign went up. It’s a good thing I’m not in a hurry to sell. I want to find something smaller and more manageable in the same town. Notice the HUGE beautiful house across the street — a retired couple live there. They live there for approximately 3 months out of the year. The rest of the year they live in Hawaii, I think it is. The house and lawn is very well tended to whether the owners are around or not.
